[By Toromont Cat](https://blog.toromontcat.com/en/author/toromont-cat) September 12, 2023 [PARTS & SERVICE](https://blog.toromontcat.com/en/topic/parts-service) 1 minute read - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) ![](https://blog.toromontcat.com/hubfs/IMG_E5923%202000x1050%20(1).jpg) # **S·O·S Services Program** Once seen as an optional standalone service, the S·O·S Services program is now an integral part of effective [equipment management](https://www.toromontcat.com/service/equipment-management).   By leveraging a robust [fluid analysis](https://www.toromontcat.com/service/fluid-analysis-services) database built over decades, Toromont Cat provides high quality, actionable data to customers, all backed by Caterpillar scientists and engineers and with a strong global service support network.     Once customers turn in fluids for analysis, our experts provide fast results and customized recommendations to help customers make critical equipment decisions.   That combination of expertise, efficiency, and industry-leading service has helped Toromont Cat achieve a Gold Status certification rating from Caterpillar and the ISO Certification (International Organization for Standardization).   ## **What is the ISO Certification and why is it important?** The ISO is the International Organization for Standardization. ISO members represent national standards institutes, with one member per country. The ISO drives consensus and solutions that meet business, government and society needs.    **Staying gold** We’re proud that our in-house lab meets all the requirements for test results and lab operations set out by the ISO and the S·O·S Services Standardization Program, including:   **![yellow-arrow](https://blog.toromontcat.com/hs-fs/hubfs/yellow-arrow.png?width=62&height=62&name=yellow-arrow.png)Test Results:** Test Offerings, Data Quality & Monitoring Capabilities **Laboratory Operations:** Quality Management System, Safety & Staffing and Training Requirements   ### **Accurate, Actionable Data**   The measure of any fluid analysis lab is not only its ability to produce quality data – it also means being able to verify that the data is accurate and actionable through rigorous quality insurance programs.    That’s where the S·O·S Program and its emphasis on quality management comes in.   The S·O·S Standardization Program stipulates that certified Cat Dealer programs utilize a lab that has an appropriate quality management system.    For us, that means using the ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 programs, both of which emphasize rigorous self-examination in three principle areas: practices, products, and customer satisfaction.   Contact the Toromont Fluid Analysis Services team  (866) 569-5979  [soslab@toromont.com](mailto:soslab@toromont.com)   [![Visit our website](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/8131032/77ab00d8-7eac-4afa-a6a3-81b7ec1ec2f7.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/8131032/77ab00d8-7eac-4afa-a6a3-81b7ec1ec2f7)         ###### About Company ![](https://blog.toromontcat.com/hubfs/BG_landing.jpg) [Toromont Cat](https://blog.toromontcat.com/en/author/toromont-cat) Toromont Cat is your Cat Dealer in Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, P.E.I., Newfoundland and Labrador, and Nunavut.
