Do you know about remanufacturing?
Remanufacturing is a type of circular economy that consists of repairing and updating used parts and equipment. When you remanufacture your equipment with Reman, you get like-new performance at a fraction of the price of purchasing brand-new equipment!
The Toromont REMAN program
Toromont Reman is your one-stop-shop for all your remanufacturing needs and it is one of the best ways to give your parts and equipment a second or even a third life!
The Toromont remanufacturing process involves the complete disassembly of all worn components, which are then thoroughly cleaned and inspected to assess reusability. All seals, gaskets and bearings are replaced with new and critical parts are inspected and salvaged according to proprietary guidelines.
These rigorous tests and inspections not only prevent the waste of precious resources, but also improve the performance, strength, and reliability of Cat products. With the application of product improvements during the remanufacturing process, it is not uncommon for a Reman part to outlast the original.
Our four facilities in Eastern Canada are equipped with cutting-edge technologies and are operated by more than 200 Reman specialists who clean, test, and refurbish each part. The result is a performance that matches (or exceeds) that of a new component!
What sets REMAN apart is the level of care that is applied to each step of the process, and when you purchase a remanufactured part at a price up to 60% lower than new, you are maximizing your capital utilization. Finally, only REMAN offers a warranty that exceeds that of a new product!

Recycling, ReconditioningRecycling reuses a variable part of raw materials that make up a product in order to produce a new one. Reconditioning "repairs" equipment without guaranteeing a performance equal to that of a new equipment. These two types of resource optimization are far inferior to remanufacturing, which is the most comprehensive and sustainable way of reusing a component or an equipment. |
